WORK PROJECTS

In these pages you can find several examples of projects developed in the workplace.
Each program is designed to speed up and simplify certain phases of internal services management.


OFFICE MENU

Menu available to all office users to run applications and scripts.
Key features:

  • menu available from a button in windows quick launch toolbar;
  • the list of available software is updated if necessary each time the program starts;
  • the available links may change by user and by application installed on PC;


  • VIRTUAL RECEPTION

    Project to replace traditional reception with a visitors recording system.
    Key features:

  • touch screen kiosk for visitors;
  • mail application to check office users' attendance and to send alerts of entrance requests;
  • client software to show entrance request alert;
  • client software to pre-register visits;


  • LOGON SCREEN MESSAGES

    Software to show messages in windows logon screen or when the pc is locked.
    Key features:

  • the messages can be added to any custom background image;
  • the image/messages can be updated at PC startup and at scheduled frequency;


  • PREMIUM ADJUSTMENTS MANAGEMENT

    Document management database for A&H and commercial lines premium adjustments.
    Its main features are:

    • adjustments deadlines management;
    • sending reminders to brokers to request adjustment data;
    • documents issuing management;



    EXCEL FOOTER

    Excel addin to print documents adding standard footer not compatible with Excel footer.
    The tool analyses the PCL 5 code produced by printer driver and it adds the footer text before sending the pages to printer queue.


    DOCUMENTS FILING

    Paper documents archive database: all policy folders are provided with a barcode, users needs to update documents position in the database using a dummy terminal with a barcode reader.


    DOCUMENTS FOOTER CHECK

    Monitoring the use of correct footer in all Word printed documents.
    The program alerts the user when footer is not updated, and then it can replace the text with the correct one.


    ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT

    Attendance and personnel absence management database using badges to log entry/exit times.
    The system manages different types of absences and their approval, produces reports and data for the payroll company.


    DIGITAL FAX

    Digital receiving fax system with customised routing for each working group.


    EMAIL ZIPPER

    This application extracts all files attached to an email message and insert them into a ZIP file.
    The email text is printed to PDF and then archived in the same ZIP file.


    MEDICAL EXPENSES REFUNDS DATABASE

    Medical expenses refounds database to track requests and timing of refunds.
    Requests are tracked with a barcode on the envelope, the response time is reported by users that need to insert the response/refund date into the system.
    The program handles email messages to solicit users to insert the response/refund date.


    DOCUMENTS FILES INDEXING TOOL

    Indexing policy documents files in a web database to speed up documents searching.
    The system analyzes more than 150,000 files in few seconds saving users' time and network resources.
    The database is updated every 30 minutes.


    CATERING BOOKING SYSTEM

    Online application to manage catering service bookings. Requests are sent to catering service in a single order.
    The program manages each user's account and the weekly payments.


    DEBIT NOTES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

    Automatic system to send renewal policies debit notes by email. It manages the following phases:

  • Word documents conversion into PDF files with logos;
  • grouping documents by recipient in a ZIP file;
  • ZIP files shipment by email.

    Creating PDF documents with logos and barcode to track the return of signed documents.


    QUALITY SAMPLER

    Daily web pages details extraction to identify data for internal audit based on filters/percentages by transaction types.


    DOCUMENTS CHECKING AND APPROVAL MANAGEMENT

    Word/Excel document management system to coordinate the following steps:

  • documents accuracy checking;
  • document approval and signing;
  • PDF creation;
  • sending document via email.


  • DOCUMENTS ISSUANCE REQUESTS MANAGEMENT

    Supporting issuing documents requests flow.
    Instructions are received in a mailbox and indexed in an online database that manages

  • work assignment;
  • tasks status;
  • tracking changes;
  • on hold requests;
  • workload reports.


  • PDF TOOL

    Program to analyze PDF document content to split it into groups of pages and then send them via email to recipients.
    Useful with reports generated by systems that cannot split reports by individual recipients.


    DOCS ANALYSER

    Word/Excel documents content analysis for classification and data extraction, particularly to:

  • detect particular types of documents in a set of files;
  • analyze the types of documents issued in a certain period of time;
  • retrieve details not available in other applications.

    The program handles different checklists depending on countries, document types and transaction types.
